With over 30 years of experience in the healthcare and fitness industries, Wanetta Beal brings a deep and holistic understanding of the human body to her work at Shockwave Specialists. A Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Life Coach (10 years), and Fitness Trainer of three decades, Wanetta has dedicated her career to mastering musculoskeletal anatomy and the intricate relationship between movement, health, and overall well-being.

A Holistic Approach to Healing

Wanetta’s expertise goes far beyond the physical. With a strong background in psychology and personal development, she has served as a Facilitator since 1997 and has been part of Excellence Seminars International since 2008, guiding others through transformational courses focused on habit change, mindset, and self-healing from the inside out. She is deeply committed to helping individuals achieve personal excellence—physically, mentally, and emotionally. This is an invaluable asset, as the conditions many clients seek treatment for often put strain on personal relationships, increase stress, and can even be the source of depression.

Driven by Challenge and Excellence

Wanetta thrives on challenge and discipline. She has competed in Ironman competitions around the world, including several back-to-back events, and has cycled across Canada and from Alaska to Mexico. These achievements reflect her resilience, dedication, and the same determination she brings to every client session.

Specialized Training in Intimate Wellness Shockwave Therapy

Wanetta has been solely trained in Shockwave Therapy for Intimate Wellness, undergoing over six months of one-on-one, specialized instruction to refine her expertise. This advanced and highly focused training allows her to offer treatments that restore both physical and emotional wellness with precision and care. Her work embodies the Shockwave Specialists’ guiding belief: the difference is in the details.

A Treatment Philosophy Like No Other

At Shockwave Specialists, treatments go beyond the surface. Wanetta’s proprietary method targets the entire network of blood and nerve supply connected to the affected area—above, below, medial, and lateral. She also addresses scar tissue, restrictions, and contributing dysfunctions, ensuring that treatment reaches the root cause rather than only addressing symptoms.

Restoring Function, Confidence, and Vitality

Wanetta’s precision, compassion, and commitment to excellence define her work. Through her specialized training and holistic perspective, she helps clients restore not just function, but confidence, vitality, and lasting wellness from the inside out.

Lianne has been a Registered Massage Therapist for just under 20 years and has built her career around one core purpose: helping people live fuller, freer lives without pain. She offers a full-body, holistic approach to healing, honouring the connection between mind, body, and spirit while treating each person as a whole.

Her journey with shockwave therapy began over 10 years ago after she suffered from Morton’s neuroma, a painful nerve condition that the medical system could only offer to correct through surgery. After just three shockwave treatments, her nerve pain disappeared completely — and never returned. That experience changed the direction of her work. She knew immediately that this was a modality she needed to bring to others.

At the time, Lianne did not purchase a shockwave machine right away. British Columbia is the only province where RMTs cannot offer shockwave therapy within their massage therapy scope of practice, despite having some of the most comprehensive education in the country. Determined to do things properly, Lianne contacted the College of Massage Therapists of BC to ask whether she could offer shockwave therapy outside of her RMT practice. Their answer was yes — and the journey began.

What started with one significant investment into a single machine has now grown into Shockwave Specialists, with four machines and a team of practitioners trained personally by Lianne. The results have been profound. Many patients arrive after years of pain, frustration, and limited answers. Often, after even one treatment, they experience relief so significant it brings them to tears — because for the first time in years, they can imagine getting their life back.

Shockwave Specialists was born from Lianne’s genuine passion for helping others heal. Her treatment style is proprietary, highly specific, and unlike anything found elsewhere. Every practitioner at Shockwave Specialists has been personally trained in Lianne’s application method, ensuring that each patient receives thoughtful, skilled, and effective care.

Every person who walks through the doors of Shockwave Specialists is in the greatest of hands, no matter which practitioner they see.

My work is grounded in an embodied and client-centred approach to healing and self-inquiry. At the heart of what I do is offering a compassionate, non-judgmental presence and creating the conditions for each person’s experience to unfold naturally. I create spaces where people can explore their inner world, address root challenges, and connect with their true nature, others, and what feels meaningful in their lives.

I facilitate GROF® Breathwork workshops and retreats, supporting people as they move through holotropic states of consciousness. I hold these experiences as meaningful expressions of the psyche and part of the human movement toward wholeness. These experiences may open pathways for somatic and emotional release, shifts in perspective, and a renewed sense of self. Integration is central to my work, allowing what emerges to be embodied and lived into everyday life.

Sound healing is a foundational part of my practice. With a Bachelor of Music from McGill University and shaped by personal spiritual openings, my sound bath offerings are heart-led, with vibration moving through me and the instruments in a shared field of resonance. I draw from both ancient traditions and current understandings of the nervous system and emotional balance.

I also support individuals and families through major life transitions, including birth, death, and end-of-life. As a death doula, I offer a caring presence during times of profound change, holding each person and what they are living through as sacred.

I offer private sessions and group experiences in both public and private settings on Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, and beyond.
